I went to see Avatar in 3D at the Imax theatre at Buckland Showcase Cinemas, Manchester, CT. The movie was absolutely amazing. I thought graphics were incredible, story line was entertaining, and actors were phenomenal. The 3D aspect of the movie wasn't so much things coming out at you, besides snowflakes, but depth into the screen. It literally looked like I could stand up and walk down a hallway to sit with the actors. The IMAX part of it... I wasn't so impressed. This was my first IMAX experience. I was expecting a screen that went up onto the ceilings and the walls-which it didn't. It was maybe 2.5x the size of a normal screen. If you want to see this movie, don't pay double on IMAX... just go see it in 3D.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
