Other than being draggy in spots I enjoyed the film. The actors as usual did their fine jobs. I wish them well in their futures as most of them have said they won't be acting any more. Of course knowing how much they've made off the Potter flicks can give us piece of mind that they'll live well for most of their lives. PEACE!
I think the movie is okay though predictible. Doof meets foxy girl and both have their issues...that resolve by his ending up with the girl who is "out of his league". I think it common in today's age that gals who are really hot to end up with doofy guys because a) they''re not threatened by them-won't be hurt and b) the doofy guys typically make a better living than the guy in the moive (TSA, come on now).
I truly believe if we reach we can attain what we wish regardless of our "looks" because there's always somebody out there that will "love" us.
The maker of this film is clearly sending a political message that apartheid is bad/wrong. I enjoyed the film as it wasn't too heavy in the way it delivers the message and the acting was decent. I felt that the hurding of Aliens who are "superior" in every way to us into a refugee camp was a stretch. Let's face it if they have the technology to get here they would likely be impervious to our pop guns which unfortunately in this film they aren't. This is a pervasive problem in Hollywood when dealing with "Alien" technology...somehow our flea flicker weapons actually effect them.
I thoroughly enjoyed this film and recommend it whole heartedly to ALL...kids, adults, and even tweeners. This is one of those movies that having a bit of everything should appeal to everyone. True, it's labled a "kiddie" flick, however given it's storyline the film transcends that label. You'll find youself imersed in the story from beginning to end and laughing, crying, and cheering all the way through. Great film see it NOW!
I found the acting excellent and the movie over all to be very good. I can't rate the film as excellent however due to the fact that there were times when I felt it was a bit slow/draggy. Other than that the story line had very interesting characters who were well developed (though you never really know what's wrong w/Mr. Ayres). The characters do unpredictible thnigs and that's a strength in the film. Additionally, the review of how the homeless were/are treated in LA is a bit disturbing and eyeopening.
You know I listened to the critics less than glowing reviews of this film and went to see it for my self. All I can say is WOW! I thoroughly enjoyed it. The acting was phenominal, the story line(s) were tight and well written, and the settings outstanding. My only beef is that it's a bit long, but it never lags or gets dull. Thoroughly enjoyable and historical film. Suggest everyone see it!
What can I say...there are few films that can do both and BH Chihuahua does. The storyline is plausable as some folks out there treat their pets better than they do other folks they know. There's even some action in the film that's appropriate for a G rating...not to violent or "dirty". I thoroughly enjoyed the voice overs and had fun watching. I think everyone may/might find it a fun film.
What a film...it has a bit of everything including something most films don't inspiration. This movie is one of the best I've seen in many years and the hero's story needed to be told and should have been told years ago. It's a film that folks that dislike football can enjoy because its not about football; it's about feelings, emotions and humaniy. The film is potently human in its content, expression and message. SUGGEST FOR ALL TO SEE!
Mamma Mia is stunningly beautiful in terms of scenery. The acting is okay at best...but it's the story and music that make it a fun romp through the lives of its principal characters. If you're a child of the 70's--Abba era you'll LOVE this film and even if you're not and while it's not up to the standards of the old MGM musicals...it's still HIGHLY ENTERTAINING!
Saw Wanted and non-stop action...pretty graphic/violent...but interesting and fun. Movie has some subplots about brotherhood and organizational strife that are interesting. Additionally, it speaks to the universal theme that when money enters the picture even the most "idealistic" organization can be corrupted. It's a thrill ride worth the time and energy.
