I saw Avatar the first time on a normal movie screen and was amazed. But last night I splurged and saw it in 3D and on an IMAX screen. So worth it! If you're going to see this movie, pay the extra 5 or 6 dollars and see it on a huge IMAX screen with those bulky 3D glasses. You will be so glad you did. This movie blows my mind. The animation is so advanced - the CGI characters have expressions so similar to human expressions - it's uncanny. The 3D experience was thrilling. You actually feel like you're walking through the forests of Pandora, or watching the floating mountains go by your helicopter, or flying on the back of a banshee. The story, characters, action, romance, music, everything was well done.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
