As a cultural experience, this movie is a "must." It is visually lush, well acted, and extremely well put together. The story is, ho hum, a little moralistic for my taste, but it's nice to see something that champions a higher cause, while still being suitable and entertaining for most people of most ages. The 3-d effect was not entirely positive for me: I found the reduction in focus distracting, and left the theater with a mild case of motion sickness!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
