A film for our times

Some Christian groups oppose this movie - why? Thou shalt not covet, steal, murder; Avatar is great PR for these lessons. Avatar also shows that low-tech living can be deeply satisfying - it's ironic that massive amounts of technology brought us this message with such glowing fervor. Can we hear it now? … BTW: For years we've depicted monster aliens who come from outer space to kill humans & ravage the earth. Guess what? *The humans are the aliens.* … I think the natives in this film were depicted with tails to remind us that humans in fact are animals. We cannot divorce ourselves from the need to eat and breathe. Pollute the air: that's what you’ll breathe. Soak food with toxic pesticides: that's what you'll eat. “I see you.” Can we?
