I saw Avatar on a regular 3D screen, and loved it enough to pay for upping the ante. A lot of people will say that this movie is a direct copy of Pocahontas and/or Dances with Wolves. While the story is very similar to both of these, there are plenty of elements that make the movie unique: the bioluminescent animals and plants, the fact that it's people controlling Avatars with their consciousness (versus contacting the natives directly), the bio-network that plays a huge role in the movie, and the fact that the military is operated by a spoiled and ignorant CEO (huge mistake). The movie has a lot more originality than critics give it credit for in my opinion, and the visuals are just stunning.
