Can't Wait for the Next One

Iron Man is a fantastic movie whose excellent cast gets the job done--and done right! Robert Downey Jr. is the billionaire genius who just wants to party and engineer stuff. He kind of falls into the superhero costume; engineers it to perfection; and finally embraces the job and what it involves. Terrence Howard was great as his friend/military liaison and Gwyneth Paltrow did her usual excellent job. This movie started slowly and gave the audience considerable character background and development. I expect the next one in the series to get to the action much faster. One drawback is that I wish a scene between Downey's Tony Stark and a woman had been even less detailed. It was *not* an explicit scene, at all. However, it was enough to make this parent wonder if she'd made a mistake by not investigating the "brief suggestive content" in advance. I suggest that moviemakers not even come close to that inappropriate line. This movie, like so many others, doesn't benefit from the suggestive content.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
