Amazing 3-D, Good story

The amazing thing about Avatar is that it is the first movie ever to not use 3-D as a gimmick. The subtle 3-D scenes make you feel much more involved in the movie. It's as if you're looking through a really large window as opposed to a flat screen.
With that said, the story is good and enjoyable, but mostly predictable. I found myself waiting to see who survives at the end, and wanting the battle scenes to end (the effects for them were awesome though).
I see why the movie is the incredible blockbuster that it is... It will change the way movies are made and is the new standard from this point forward.
