This was such great fun to experience both Broadway and the Philharmonic while not leaving the Chicago area.
The cast was superb and of course the music was Sondheim. What a pleasure.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I have twice been involved with the Lyric Opera of Chicago's productions of Carmen. One of which was with the wonderful Domingo. However, nothing can compare with what I have just seen.
Although I loved Julia Maginnes Johnson in the movie version with Domingo, Elina Garanca just knocked this one out of the park!
Previous Carmen notables have all been racheted down a knotch. She's magnificent.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
