What an adventure! The movie starts off with a bang; possibly too intense for very little ones, like 5 and under. The story is so charming, the characters so likable, the dragons...so fun.
I took my 9 and 14 year old girls to see this movie in IMAX 3D, and we all want to see it again. There is no part of the movie that is slow or boring. The story holds together so well.
Chris Jenkins really pulled this movie together. I see many Annie Awards in the future for this special movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Fun Movie

This movie is so much fun. I've seen other 3D animated films where they seem to "Forget" that the move was 3D....not so with this one. The 3D effects where throughout the movie. The story was fun and very different and the action was non-stop.
Highly recommend this movie.

Not what I expected

I really wanted to love this move, I really did. I just felt it was more depressing than fun. There were some moments that made me chuckle, but not enough to offset the underlying sad tone of the film.
I would recommend the film because no one has ever done a film like this before. It's very inventive and creative...but just be aware that it's depressing.
