I am not usually one to cry during sappy, love stories. I definitely did not come prepared. I cried multiple times because of happy and sad moments. The movie was only disappointing because fo how the story went, it had nothing to do with how well it was made/captured. There were many moments were i was just begging for things to happen, but didn't, but that is part of the story so I have to say I was very impressed! I would recommend this for anyone, I brought my boyfriend with me (who despises love movies) and he told me he loved the movie and would see it again. It was well done!
I thought the visual effects were phenominal, but there were no transitions between scenes and random facts would be said and would have nothing to do what was going on. I had not read the book, but my friend had read the book. I had no idea what was going on because the scenes didn't flow and it didn't clerify a lot of things and it was incredibly random. It did not make sense and i had to constantly ask my friend about what everything meant because it did not tell you or even give you an idea. And not only was i disappointed, but my friend who read the book said it was about as good as "the happening". I was expecting it to be great especially with award nominations, but no, it left me with no feeling of any kind of satisfaction.
