I'm not a sci-fi fan and was not planning to see this movie. Maybe I'd rent it when it came out later. Several of my friends recommended it, so I went. WOW! It's not hard core sci-fi. (I kept thinking about Sogourny Weaver in Aliens, but this is nothing like that.) The movie is beautiful, colorful and imaginative. We saw it in 3D Imax. I only jumped once throughout the whole movie, so the 3D is not too in-your-face. The plot was predictable, but still a good story. Movie is long, but it is so beautiful, I didn't mind. Great special effects. Go see it, you won't be disappointed.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
