The action takes place on a beautiful moon orbiting a Jupiter-like planet. The story is very like "Dances with Wolves" except that the Indians win, and the final battle is reminiscent of the fight between the Ewoks and the Stormtroopers. The computer created scenery is imaginative and brilliant, and breathtaking to behold. The story is basically good-versus-evil plot, pitting the angelic and elf-like natives against brutal and unfeeling mercenaries. Some present-day references appear in the script, such as the military commander saying " We must make a premptive strike, and fight terror with terror". I saw it in 2D, and will probably go back again to revel in the 3D scenery.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
