This is not an action film. It's a drama and it's a story about the relationships between fathers and sons. Great performances by everyone; especially Emory Cohen and Ben Mendlesohn.
This won't disappoint if you are looking for a film and not some action thriller popcorn movie. Made me think of my own relationship with my parents.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors, subtle performances
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I went into in expecting an action movie. I like Howard, Ferrell and Noomi Rapace.
What I got was some depth to the story and buildup to the main character's eventual union in the film. I was sitting there as it played out waiting for it to get cheesy and it didn't. I thought the performances were honest but restrained. There was an instance in the film where something was observed by Noomi but never really elaborated on. (Actually, now that I think about it, the incident seems very unlikely.)
Anyway, I liked the film period. It was shot in NY but has a Euro feel to it. The NY that is always in movies isn't found here.
Colin has gotten very adept at playing under the radar. This isn't the same person from 12 years ago. Noomi is....well......'effing beautiful and very good as well. Howard scares the crap out of you with his cool detachment. The 50 year old guy sitting next to me I overheard say "Worst film ever" yet he and his date never left and I heard him blathering during the trailers about what big name actors were attached to what movies, " This was supposed to be Sam Worthington's film....blah, blah, blah", so he most likely is a studio bag. (and Worthington is overrated anyway, I.M.O.)
Anyway, that's all I have to say. Less action than Taken but still a unique film. There are a couple small edits that were "?" to me, but I forgave them.
Pros great actors
Yes, I recommend this movie.

He makes this film enjoyable to watch by making SH his...or at least his take on the character.
Jude Law, whom I never cared for much, actually showed me something here I hadn't seen before...an edge.
Accents take a bit to adjust your ears to, but you don't miss much.
Mark Strong could have made better choices....he wore the character as opposed to inhabiting him.
Story was good, left room for future episodes.
Overall, very enjoyable.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Amazing effects, decent story.
Could have done without being hit over the head with the tree hugging hippy cr@p and anti military stance.
Overall, I think it shows us where the direction of films are going. 3D is quite an enjoyable experience when it comes to action / sci fi films.
Wouldn't want to see drama with it though.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
