My enjoyment of movies is closely tied to the appropriateness of casting and believability of dialogue. Up In The Air creates credible chemistry among its three principal characters and the dialogue fairly crackles as each one stays in character throughout. The story line is simplistic, but well timed. Corporate downsizing is in full bloom in America as the country slips down from its dominant position, and this creates an opportunity to display the shallow comforts of a slick player in the downsizing game. If there were six stars to give, I'd gladly award them to Up In The Air.
