Outstanding cast, top to bottom! Wonderful conductor! One of the best, ever, and very much worth seeing.
12-year-old granddaughter's first opera, loved it.
Negatives: obnoxious for theaters on either side in a multi-plex to run movies with VERY intrusive sounds during an opera.
Recommend finding a single-screen venue for maximum enjoyment.
Really dislike the emphasis on extreme close-ups. Give me more of the long view I would have if I were actually in the hall (especially when there are multiple characters on the stage).
I kept wishing they'd turn up the lights on stage! - deliberate darkness or technical failure?.
Love the behind-the-scenes moments and interviews.
