I thought this movie was superior to the previous ones because it focused on the interrelations of the main characters. These actors have really grown into their parts and exhibited a depth of acting that was surprising and often moving. I do not recommend it for viewers under the age of 10 because of scenes of torture, etc. It is really an adult film.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Great performance all around. Probably the best staging of Carmen I've ever seen. Garanca and Alagna were standouts and were able to maintain good vocal quality while engaging in the strenuous activity that they were called to perform. Not many sopranos can dance! Good conducting by Nezet-Seguin as well.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
