My review title pretty much sums up the internal conflict I have with rating this movie. If I were to base my review solely on the CGI effects, then I'd give the film a 5 out of 5 without question. However that would not be fair to all of you. I must take the movie as a whole and the plot/storyline is part of it all. In this case I'd give it a 3 out of 5 since it is classic (a primitive protagonist vs.a modern antagonist) but not quite original. So I'm left with giving it a 4 out 5 in order to split the difference. In short, yes go see the movie in 3D IMAX but please be thrifty in your ticket purchase price.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
