The movie is visually stunning, and a technical marvel: too bad Cameron ripped off the plot from Disney's Pocahontas. In retrospect, that make some sense because by halfway through I thought I was watching a Disney movie.
The plot developments are obvious, the characters are paper-thin, the acting is barely television-quality, and the "message" might as well have been written in neon. I haven't felt this preached at by a movie since "Wall-E" (and then I knew I was watching a kid's movie).
My message: go and enjoy the fireworks show, but don't expect to be awed. This is no "Lord of the Rings."
