For an adaptation from a sparsely worded , beautifully illustrated children's book classic, I think this was done thoughtfully and beautifully. This takes everyday emotions and translates them into a child's perspective. The wild things are so true to Sendak's illustrations that I felt like I already knew them. My only wish is that Jonze would have diverted from the shaky camera that film directors seem to insist on using since the Blair Witch Project... does every moment have to make us naseated? I had to look away a few times to get my bearings from the shakiness of the camera... I can't wait for this on DVD and look forward to watching with my daughter when she is older...
