If you are going to a movie starved for the absolute best in CGI technology, then Avatar is the best movie you will ever have seen in your life up to now. If CGI is your life, then go see this movie. You need to see it. Avatar is your cinematic soul mate. For the rest of us who want to see a good movie with a strong story and characters we can come to care about? Not so much. Things blow up good - REAL good - in Avatar, and there are lots of glowing things and many, many, many, many bright colors. That's what you get for three hours. That and Sigourney Weaver. It may not be the worst film ever, but the lower your expectations walking into this movie, the easier it will be for you to enjoy it.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
