Avatar lived up to the hype

I am a sci-fi fan and waited to see this with the hopes that it would either be over hyped and not half of what it claimed to be so i didn't have to spend 15 bucks for the IMAX experience. That didn't seem to ever be the case after talking to many people that had seen it. So I went for the full experience IMAX 3D and it was worth it. The 3D adds a lot of depth to scenes in the movie. Not a lot coming at you, but a visual feeling of being there in a lot of it. The detail of the whole movie in all facets was incredible. This was the first movie in a long time that has left me mezmorized. I was unable to keep my mind off of it after. I am planning to see this again with my family. If you miss this movie you are truly missing a masterpiece.
