It's been so many years since I've been to the opera and I love Carmen. This was the MOST enjoyable way to return to the opera. The performances were top notch including the understudy who played Escamillio. The glimpses back stage before and during the performance just added to the pleasure. I would do this again with no hesitation.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
