Sadly, I am not old enough to have seen the original series during it's first run on television. I have however caught a good many of them during reruns. I fell in love with the show, the characters and the story. With that said, I praise Tim Burton and the cast for the amazing job they did bringing this classic gothic soap opera to the big screen.
It had all the elements of the T.V. show, love, comedy, horror and camp. If you enjoyed the original show, be it during it's first run or reruns, you will love this movie.
I will definitely be seeing this movie again very soon!
I am a fan of the orginal film "Låt den rätte komma in" which was released in 2008. I am happy that this movie was remade here in america, I feel that the story between the two main charecters is just superb. I am also glad that the remake kept pretty close to the original in story and didn't stray of course and ruin the film as so many american remakes tend to do.
This is by far one of my favorite Horror hovies that I have seen this year, the suspense was just right, the gore factor was spot on and the effects were outstanding. I gave this movie 5 stars, but I feel thatit deserves so much more. I will most definately see this movie again, and can't wait to do so.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I was very disappointed with this movie, it had the potential to be so much more but just fell way short. The first half of the movie was for lack of a better word boring and in my opinion could have been totally cut from the film. The second half got a little better, but was still a disappointment, if you are a true fan of horror movie, do not see this movie. I have read that many people say wait til it comes out in the redbox and pay $1 to rent it....I don't even think it is worth that....just don't waste your money, see something else!!!!
