Could turn out to be a huge disappointment for AA's fans. AA's decision to choose a mature role to play, probably backfired - he did a good job at it as an actor, but viewer's expectations *could* be shattered.
The one take away from the movie is the importance and value placed on an age-old practice of arranged marriages. The lavish wedding scenes (a full forty minutes) are the saving grace for the movie. Songs are mostly misplaced strangely seem to be misplaced and poorly edited.
Special effects, though commendable, had a lot (I mean a LOT) of scope for improvement before being considered for inclusion in the footage.
The 'battle' between the two lead roles in the second half of the movie was excruciatingly long and could have been shortened to less than half to spare the audience . . .
The second half of the movie was omre of a joke than anything else.
The concept, the settings (creation), th eplot - typical American arrogance and wanton destruction in acquiring its goals, the cast, the acting, the technology. a message to the greedy, the packaging was all perfect.
Although the expectations from IMAX 3D (AMC Potomac, Woodbridge, VA) - just a larger screen (I have not seen the movie in regular 3D) left me wanting for a better product.
I want to watch the movie all over again to absorb the movie.
