I went with my wife to have a quiet, relaxing romantic evening. It is a movie that you want to see at the theater not for the special effects nor the stunts even they were pretty good but for the beauty of Europe especially Italy and Venice. The scenario is simple and well constructed. You will enjoy the movie for the atmosphere and its quality. I will recommend it for people in their 40 and over.
Until recently, I could not remember the last time, I left the cinema before the movie was finished. My wife and I left 25 minutes after the actual beginning of the movie and we were one of the last couple to leave.
And if you have motion sickness, I would strongly avoid to see the movie because it is filmed like the camera was on a shoulder of a soldier, it moved in all directions.
Since the price of the ticket went up and the cost of the baby sitter, I no longer go so often but if the price goes up and the quality goes down like that., I am not sure that I will go again.
Following the story of Casino Royal, the new James Bond is full of very fast actions. It is the new vein of James Bond with Daniel Craig without the British Phlegm or the humor, it is dark. James is doing his job, he is deadly even when he does not want to, he is efficient but he has no pleasure. Is he doing his duties or looking for revenge or maybe both?
Superbe pictures, a lot of actions but the scenario is a little thin. You will enjoy it but it will not remain in your memory as a great James Bond.
I went to see it with my son who is 3. We both liked it. No violence, no stupid profanity reference, just a good kid movie that we can see several times in family with pleasure. The scenario is simple but efficient. The morale of the story is good for the kids (and for Hollywood too). There are not enough good kid movies like this one. (PS: I tried to put another word instead of profanity but the filter does allow to call a cat a cat and the profanity was not the word I wanted).
