Although the story line is somewhat predictable and trite, it plays very well to allow James Cameron to display the outstanding visual affects in this film. I waited to see it in IMAX 3D and was not disappointed. The visual affects were better than I anticipated, the acting was very good and as stated above, the story line was simple enough with straight forward good versus evil characters. The women in the movie are all strong characters and equal or better than every male character in every way. This movie is appealing to a wide audience including younger viewers for the si-fi aspect and older viewers of both genders for the visuals as well as the story line. Well worth the cost of admission.
