Well - it was thrilling.
Don't see this movie unless you go IMAX 3D otherwise the mind blowing effects will not be able to overcome the weak dialogue and piss-poor acting. (Except for Ron Perlman who owned this film with a cameo.) Ron Perlman juxtaposed with the rest of the actors in this movie only serves to highlight how weak the cast is.
Loved the bots but the justification for requiring two pilots was contrived. It could have used a few Bill Paxton grimaces (nobody grimaces like Bill).
If you have an english bulldog in a movie, there should be some smelly fart gaffes. Having an english bulldog in a movie without fart humor is like juicing up A-rod full of steroids and than not letting him bat. What a waste.
*** SPOILER ALERT ***
My last complaint is that I am sick of the Our Hero is Dead trope. This would have been so much better if dude died at the end. I mean really!
Pros ron perlman, cool aliens, godzillaish
Cons predictable dialogue, no bulldog fart references, hero is dead trope
Yes, I recommend this movie.
