Instead of the typical use of 3D to throw stuff at the audience Cameron used it to show depth. It is a great use of the technology to engage the audience. However, I was turned off by the movie plot. The movie voices liberal views on war (Iraq and Afghanistan), they completely demonize American Military Personnel, Contractors, and the mining industry. One character actually said, "It's some kind of Shock and Awe Campaign." I wonder why Cameron didn't add a scene showing Americans clubbing baby seals. Cameron decided to use Americans as the bad guys in this movie. We are being targeted by Islamic terrorists and the most evil character he can come up with is an American Soldier? Nice job Cameron.
