The colors and vividness were great, but the actual movie wasn't a lot to brag about. My daughter who is 19, and LOVES Johnny Depp, wasn't impressed with it either. Not that much action, or really any adventure. I think Avatar in 3D IMAX was great and I haven't see any good movies since then. Anne Hathaways character was really weird. It seemed like she was in a daze during the movie.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Great special effects!

I saw this movie in 3D IMAX and would love to see it again. The colors, the special effects, just amazing. A friend of mine saw it in 3D and IMAX 3D and said you could tell a big difference between the 2. If you're going to see it, spend the extra few bucks to see the 3D IMAX.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
