Familiar Story, Uniquely Told

After my son saw "Avatar", he said it was basically "Dances With Wolves" with aliens instead of native Americans. True, but "Terminator" is basically a derivative of the story of the Virgin Mary, and is still a great film. And, "Avatar" is a great film. Not because of its story, which we have all seen many times, but because of the innovative way the story is told, which we have never seen like this before. I saw the IMAX 3D version and found the 3D effects added to the experience, rather than being a distraction, like they often are in low-budget 3D films. Enjoy.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
