I'm not sure exactly what I was expecting, but I left feeling like "oh that wasn't what I expected". I would have like to see more character depth, like what exactly was in John's past. More on his relationship with his dad, more about what Savannah was feeling while John was away. John's father was probably the most interesting character. The whole Tim thing wasn't even believable. I did feel the connection between John and Savannah, and the moment with John and his father was touching. The rest was not very good.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

This is such a touching true story, I love Sandra Bullock in this film. If only everyone could love this way.
