Not as good as I hoped

As my 12 year old son said, "Avatar was basically like the story of how some Europeans who came to the New World didn't respect the native people or their land, but 100 years in the future instead." The story was so much a copy of Dances with Wolves that I don't know how Cameron didn't strive to be more original. Special effects were very nice - sometimes too much (e.g. *Everything* had 6 legs or 4 eyes and was blue and glowing )
Yes, I recommend this movie.
