3D IMAX has the BEST clarity and 3D viewing for this movie...I have seen both regular 3D and IMAX 3D and recommend IMAX.
This movie will impress you visually. The world Cameron creates is amazing and fun to view (much like a saltwater aquarium species). There are many themes in this movie and you'll see those you want to see: environmentalism, capitalism, colonization, love story, privatized-independent military contracts, etc....yet they all blend so well in to one epic story.
For the families out there: violence isn't all that bloody, there are some close up kills of animals and soldiers, and swearing is less than approx. 5 times (J.C. pops up once or twice).
Yes, I recommend this movie.
