My 13 year old grandson, who with me has read all the books & seen all the movies, told me half way through that it was too violent, and after movie said it was more violent than the book -- we did enjoy the movie, but I feel the younger children may very well be terrorized!! Harry Potter shouldn't be so violent that it offends a 13 year old, should it???
Yes, I recommend this movie.
