Experiencing Avatar in a 3D environment was really great, though I wish I had secured tickets for the iMax 3D experience because the film is visually stunning and epic. Avatar crosses genres making it a action adventure sci-fi fantasy. Produced at WETA Workshop, the same company that created Lord of The Rings, Avatar captures the same majestic and intimate feel by setting a love story and personal discovery smack in the middle of an intergalactic conflict. Careful as you may find yourself rooting against the human race by the final battle (which is visually dynamic and exciting) and wondering how our environment and planet would be different today if the American Indians had triumphed. James Cameron has done it again.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
