Great special effects, decent movie

The special effects were awesome to me. Not for the weak stomach. My wife was unable to watch most of the movie because it made her ill.
Now, the story line was a little weak and the Global warming, tree-loving theme that came out was LAME. Had I known that this was a political and environmental statement movie I may have decided to skip it. Can’t we just watch a movie without having a hidden agenda shoved down our throats?
