Head on down to see Toy Story 3-D. You'll hear people laughing out loud. You'll see grown-ups cry. You'll be ready to ride off into the sunset with a big smile on your face.
3-D has me going to the theatre again. If there were more worth while movies to see, I'd be going even more.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This movie is certainly a different spin on Alice, it's not the classic Disney animated version. Once i got past that point (which didn't take long) I thoroughly enjoyed it. 3-D IMAX adds more and more levels to the cinematic story.
Embedded in all of the action and fantastic effects is the tale of the "hero's journey". Alice is confronted with a crisis, she goes through a series of trials until she reaches a realization. The final test for Alice brings about a transformation, she emerges from the rabbit hole a changed person.
The acting was superb. I'm not a Johnny Depp fan, but he made me a believer in this film, I ended up caring for his character by the end of the movie.
The negative criticisms, which can apply to a lot of movies today --- TOO LOUD, too fast.
I don't know if I would have liked this movie as much if I saw it in a different format, probably not. I found it engrossing, or, as the posters say: an immersive experience. This has gotten me back into the movie theater. I hope it progresses past the cartoons in 3-D stage soon, though the remake of Ray Harryhausen's classic "Clash of the Titans" looks like it might be good.
I recommend this movie even if you're not a Tim Burton or Johnny Depp fan.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This could be the movie that establishes the 3D format. It is both a financial and artistic success.
The movie has a simple story line. Science fiction is a fairly straight forward genre, the stories consist of a few ideas and interesting characters. What would you expect from a genre whose most complex character was named HAL? This is fantasy made up of gorgeous, beautiful images. There is no place else you would see blue people and flying creatures as colorful as the rainbow.
I saw it in IMAX 3-D, I can't wait to see it again.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
