As a long time sci-fi buff, this is one of the best movies I've seen! The visual effects, color transition, and plot will surely prove to be a timeless classic. I did see it in 3-D, which proved to be a mistake for me, as I am prone to motion sickness, and had to remove the glasses half way through. The next 5-10 times I watch it, I'll make sure it's not in 3-D!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
