I was very pleased with this movie. I took my 8 five-year-old Daisy Girl Scouts,and they LOVED it. It makes me feel good how far we've come as a country that finally, now, little white girls are admiring/asking for a black barbie/princess doll. I think it's about time the African American women are represented in the Disney princess lineup, and I loved how she "became" a princess (being as we don't have American royalty.) And hooray for our first American princess character! I totally suggest this movie to everyone. Loved the music, loved the New Orleans culture, loved the female singer...simply loved it all.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
