I am a long time Chipmunks fan and thought this movie was appropriate for my 8 year old daughter except for some of the Chimpette parts. It told a good story about being reliable, honest, and trustworthy. Kids need to see more of that kind of story. They don't need to see more of the "tail-wagging girl singers" portrayed by the Chimpettes. You don't have to shake it to sing it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
