Nearly fell asleep - TWICE.
Having NOT read the books, I suppose this movie will be required in order to figure out what is going on in the FINAL film, but there were NO "WOW" moments, CGI was fair, story line was dark and plodding. The trailers BEFORE the film were more entertaining than the film!
ONLY die-hard Potter fans need attend.

GREAT flick. Clever writing, complete with twists; great interplay between the cast, plenty of stuff blowing up, bullets flying, good guys, bad guys, Ernest Borgnine (McHales WHAT?). Paid a bit extra to see it on a REALLY big screen - was worth it! I will buy this one on DVD when it comes out!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Saw this in widescreen 3D premium balcony theater seating, brewskies, sliders and fries at your seat. Was a GREAT evening out - even if a bit pricey - still a lot less than doing dinner and a staged show - AND much more entertaining. Sound was great - FANTASTIC CGI, fair story line (it even had passable character development). The 3D stuff was well applied to enhance rather than steal the show. I liked the fire embers sparkling in 3D. When available in Blu-Ray I will be buying a copy. It will be the standard by which future 3D cinema is judged (like the first Star Wars flick set the bar for CGI).
Yes, I recommend this movie.
