Im a big fan of 3D so it takes alot to impress me. James Cameron used 3D as an artist, not for gratuitous cheap tricks. Although the script is predictable for unlikely-hero stories, the special effects were so spectacular that it made the entirety a magnificent success. Cameron wrote Avatar 20yrs ago but waited until technology was available to do it justice -- it was worth the wait! In the same way that the original JurassicPark set the standard for computer-generated realistic action, Avatar has set a new but much higher mark. For the next decade, Avatar will be the new cinema model future films will have to emulate and improve upon to catch new attention. Bravo Cameron, well done!
