The 3D didn't drive me crazy like it has in some other movies. It felt like a very good part of the story (except for the glasses which are never that comfortable for anyone). The special effects are amazing... but that review is obvious. The story line didn't bother me as much as it obviously bothered a lot of other people. I would say it is kind of "Dances with Wolves" with aliens. Yes, the messages are being beaten into you but it's a movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
