Raising the Bar

James Cameron truly raised the bar to a new level with the production of Avatar. Ironically, members of my family had seen the movie on flat screen and weren't nearly as enthused about it as my wife and I were. Perhaps having seen the movie in 3-D in Imax format was the difference maker. Artistically, Cameron made the movie for the 3-D and/or Imax experience. To see Avator in the traditional format is to overlook and not experience the emotions and awe which 3-D are meant for the moviegoer to experience. The 3-D format pulls you right into the picture. Imax intensifies the experience. If you have seen the picture only on the flat screen, I strongly suggest you go back and see the movie again in 3-D or in 3-D Imax if available.
