Feeling as if you can reach out and touch the scenery really brings you into the movie. I had heard this film was "visually stunning", but that isn't adequate to describe the experience of watching it. Don't listen to reviewers who call it "heavy" because James Cameron is trying to make a point about the Iraq invasion. (If anything, it more closely parallels the European invasion of America.) Just enjoy it for the two and a half hour fantasy world it admits you into.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
