lame aspects but worth the price of admission

Plot was predictable and the character development was not nearly deep enough. Many aspects of the story line were too unoriginal with the kind of allusive symbolism taught in 9th grade. My favorite example was the steal from Rock & Bulwinkle’s “upsidasium” complete with flying mountains. Despite the 3D effects, the directing was 2D with some over-used tricks such as the occasional rapid zoom “news footage” effect. With that said, I was very entertained by the effects, action and what character development there was. I would recommend it. It was just disappointing that the production company chose a book that was not as strong as the technology, a mistake I have never seen from companies like Pixar.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
