If you are looking for pure enjoyment, this movie is for you. These days it's hard to find a movie with the right amount of smart off-beat humor and sweetness without tipping the balance in either direction. Enjoy!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This was a beautiful and well-crafted movie. Often with movies that rely on special effects, the characters and story are not engaging enough. This is not the case with this movie. I thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end. It does earn its PG rating, so many of the action sequences might frighten young children, but it would be great for probably age 8 and up. I want to own it when it comes out on DVD. A fantastic re-imagining of picking up where the original story left off.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I saw this with my boyfriend on Christmas Eve. It lifted both of our spirits. I have visited New Orleans several times. This movie captured the culture just right. The princess has gumption. Good morals all around. There is plenty of magic, but also solid real concepts (that don't hit you on the head). Randy Newman captured the genres of: zydeco, jazz, and gospel perfectly. Wonderful for all ages.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Great movie to see on a big screen! Good mix of characters, story, heart, and fantastic effects. I wish Pepper Potts had been given more character material, but Gwyneth did her best with what she had. Hurrah for the 40-something hero! Robert Downey Jr. is a great choice. Stay until the end of the credits.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
