Wow. That's all I can say. The best Harry Potter movie yet. Wow. I went into the theater with high expectations, and it definitely exceeded them. I was blown away with the effects, acting, filming, the sets, you name it. This is a must see for everybody, wether it be a diehard Harry Potter fan or someone who just wants to go to the movies. Trust me, you will not be disappointed.
I was blown away. It's not often that you come across a movie these days with excellent writing, acting, effects, plot, characters, and suspense all at the same time, but Inception has them. The complexity if this film draws you into a fantastic dreamworld where the line between your subconscious and reality is blurred, and anything you can imagine can happen. This is by far the best movie I have seen in a very long time, and I will most definitely see it again.
Despicable Me had a very good moral and clever story line. The quick humor and entertaining characters kept me interested all the way until the very end of this animated masterpiece. Definitely worth seeing with friends and family.
I used to be a Twilight fan until the movies came out. All the hype about made me rather disgusted with the whole thing. I thought the first movie had potential, but was rather dry. The second movie was horrible. This movie was better than the first two and was entertaining, but none of the "evil vampires" seemed very threatening, especially Victoria. It was a huge makeup fest, and it looked like some 6th graders had too much fun with the black eyeliner. All that aside, the dialogue flowed smoothly, and each character puts forth their best. Diehard Twilight fans will go crazy, but people like me will will wait for Harry Potter.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

2 Stars for Special Effects and Idea........

I walked into the theater with high expectations, which was my mistake. I had seen other movies by M. Night Shyamalan (Signs, for example), and really enjoyed them, so I was looking forward to this movie. I was surprised by how much I laughed. One star goes for the special effects, and the other goes for what was a very interesting idea that could have gone far.....if it was not or the terrible writing and acting. This was the worst acting I had seen in a long time, and it didn't help that the writing was bad. There were a lot of cheesy one-liners and stilted speaking. I would recommend this to a friend, telling them to keep an open mind and enjoy the bit of entertainment that is the Last Airbender.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Real and Serious.....with a Twist of Humor

This movie seemed very real to me, although there was something a little dark about watching younger kids beat each other up in such a brutal fashion. Although there was such a serious atmosphere in the movie, it was broken up by the bits of well thought out humor, which was delivered wonderfully by Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith. Although I would not recommend this movie for a six year old, I thought this movie put out a very strong and good message.
