Clever idea, amazingly executed, but too violent

Why does science fiction have to portray nature as evil, and even tho these extraterrestrials have a naturlist philosophy, they finally have to resolve their problem with the 'ugly' american with violence.
Much too much clashing and slashing.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
